This is an easy task even if you are novice at computer usage. As shown in this picture, type url of webpage (i.e http://www.examplehelpblog.com) into space provided and hit enter key on your keyboard then watch magic happen :) You will see that URL has been shorted/shrunk in the status bar.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to shorten URLs even faster.

There are multiple shortcut keys that you can use with this add-on. Here are some of them: Ctrl+Alt+X - to expand all shortened URLs in current tab Ctrl+Alt+Z - to collapse all expanded shortened URLs in current tab

Ctrl+Shift+K - delete selected shortened URLs from list without confirmation CTRL+L or F4 - select address bar for editing

Note: You have to be careful when using these combination keys because they can cause serious problems for your Firefox browser if not used properly, especially if you enter wrong combination keys.

Note: You can use these shortcut keys with other add-ons as well.

This is also easy task, just long press on the shortened URL for about 3 seconds to expand it or hit Ctrl+Shift+U to expand all selected URLs in current tab.

What If I Don't Want To Use Mozilla Firefox Add-on Because It Bogs My Browser Performance?

You have two options if you don't want to use this add-on anymore, uninstall the extension or disable it so that there will be no memory used by this extension when not needed. Follow below steps to uninstall this add-on:

Note: If you disable this add-on, it will not be available anymore. You have to re-install it again if you want to use it.

Select "add-ons" from the menu located at upper right corner of screen or type about:addons in the address bar Click "extensions" on left pane window Scroll down until you find "Copy URL Add-On", click options button located at upper right corner of pane next to installed extension Select Disable from dropdown menu Restart Firefox browser.

How To Unshorten/Expand URLs Using Built In Feature?

Type Ctrl+L into address bar and hit enter key OR expand shortened URL by clicking on arrow sign located at the right side of shortened URL in status bar.

Note: You can use either of these shortcut keys to expand a URL.

Note: Firefox add-ons are built for specific tasks only. So if you want to shorten URLs using different method, it is better not to install this add-on because there might be conflict between them and your browser performance will suffer.

Hope this helps.

Cheers! :)
