Do you want to generate traffic to your site but don't want to pay for advertising? Paid URL Shorteners are a great way to get free targeted traffic to your site.
Paid URL Shorteners allow you to create shortened links for your domain name. These links are then shared across social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
I'm going to show you how to set up a paid URL Shortener account and start generating traffic to your site. This method is completely free!
How To Get Started With Paid URL Shorteners
Step 1: Create A New Account
You'll need to provide some information about yourself before you can signup for an account with any of the paid URL Shortening services.
The first thing you will do is register for a new Google or Amazon Web Services (AWS) account.
You should use the same email address that you have on your website. It's best if this email address has a.com extension.
If you're using Gmail, make sure it's not in "Spam" folder.
Once you've created your AWS account, log into your dashboard. You can find this by clicking here.
Once logged in, click on the link at the top right hand corner of your screen.
This will take you to your Dashboard where you can manage all of your domains.
Click on the Domain Name tab.
Click on the Create button.
Enter a unique name for your domain. I recommend something like'shortenurls.com' or 'paidurlshorter.com'.
Answer (1 of 4): Why would a shortener shorten without showing ads? They need a server, software to create, manage and delete accounts, store link targets and related short code, police this, and you think you should get that for free? Those ongoing cost, they should just pay for because? Because.
Next, enter the redirect URL that you want people to be redirected to when they visit your domain. This is usually the page you want them to see after visiting your domain.
For example, if you wanted to redirect people to the homepage of yourAfter entering the redirect URL, click on the Add Domain button.
Now, you need to add a CNAME record. Click on the DNS Records tab.
Scroll down until you see the CNAME records section.
Add a CNAME record for your domain. Make sure the value matches what you entered for the Redirect URL. In my case, I put'shortenurls.com.'
Finally, click Save Changes.
Step 2: Generate Your First Shortened Link
Now that you've registered your domain name and added a CNAME record, you can now generate your first short URL.
To do so, go back to your Dashboard.
In the left sidebar, click on the Domains tab.
On the right side, under the Links section, click on the Create Short Code button.
A pop-up window will appear. Enter a title for your short code. For example, I named mine'shortenurls'.
Next, paste the full URL of the page you want to redirect to.
In my case, I pasted the home page of my website.
Lastly, choose whether you want to display ads on your short URLs. If you don't want to display ads, select No Ads.
When you're done, click on the Create button. The short URL will then be generated.
Step 3: Test Your Shortened Link
Before you can share your shortened links, you'll need to verify that they are working correctly.
First, open up a web browser and type in the short URL.
If everything goes well, you should end up on the page you specified in step 1.
If you didn't specify a redirect URL, you should still end up on the homepage of your site.
That's great! Now you know your short URL works.
Step 4: Share Your Shortened Links
You can now share your shortened links with others.
Simply copy and paste the short URL into an instant
